Bond Trader (Saturday, August 28, 1999) Large U.S., German, and Japanese Goverment-Backed Bonds |
| We have been asked to assist in the movement of substantial amounts of large denominatio U.S. Dollar Bonds issued by the U.S. Ministry of Finance and the U.S. Treasury Department, the German Government and the Japanese Government. These were all issued in exchange for huge amounts of gold in the 1920's when gold was the standard. They are all bearer instruments, meaning they are not registered to any specific person or entity (this was to keep it private and anonymous). They are also all guaranteed by each government FOREVER! A fraction of these would break any bank if redeemed. Anyone have ideas on how we might be able to move these? Thank you in advance. |
thank you
