Large U.S., German, and Japanese Goverment-Backed Bonds
We have been asked to assist in the movement of substantial amounts of large denominatio U.S. Dollar Bonds issued by the U.S. Ministry of Finance and the U.S. Treasury Department, the German Government and the Japanese Government. These were all issued in exchange for huge amounts of gold in the 1920's when gold was the standard. They are all bearer instruments, meaning they are not registered to any specific person or entity (this was to keep it private and anonymous). They are also all guaranteed by each government FOREVER! A fraction of these would break any bank if redeemed. Anyone have ideas on how we might be able to move these? Thank you in advance.

08-21-00  Dealmaker: Hello;
I saw your posting, I hope you are in a position to help me with my request. I too have a client with a substantial amount of bonds. I have been asked to assist them in securing a line of credit. They have at their disposal a substantial amount of Brady bonds and would like to place the bonds up as collateral. My clients will allow the bonds if need be to be broken up into blocks of 5 and 10 in order to secure a line of credit. The Brady bonds mature in 2019 and have a coupon rate of 8.25%. Are you aware of such an institution, or can you direct me to an indivual who maybe able to help me with this matter. Thank you for your help.
