12-05-03  amigo latino: Default? Rational or irrational ?…….meanwhile the euphoric bond pricess head towards reality!

<On the outlook for Argentina's debt, the analysts were decidedly negative, recommending either an underweight or no position. In addition to the long-pending restructuring of nearly $100 billion in defaulted sovereign debt, critical economic reforms remain in limbo. Speaking after the Wall Street debt strategist panel, Argentine Finance Secretary Guillermo Nielsen said Argentina is open to reasonable proposals that don't compromise the country's economic recovery. The clear implication is Buenos Aires isn't open to a deal that requires a high primary fiscal surplus. Yet its creditors refuse to submit to the government's desire for a small primary surplus and a huge nominal reduction in the face value of their holdings. "A primary fiscal surplus of 2.5% to 3% is just not going to make it," said Goldman's Leme. "I would sell Argentine bonds." Even if a restructuring deal is reached, ABN's Porzecanski said, "a significant minority" of investors wouldn't agree to it. That means they'll press their claims in the courts……>

12-05-03  ElGrande: So <Advice55> are you long gold??

12-05-03  Advice55: And I can say one thing, UStreasuries are not any safe haven any longer.... There could realy be selling in USTreasuries with selling in US and wourld stocks and that is why I am starting to talk about the largest cisis we ever saw....

Any way, let us just watch the market now, cause maybe I am just wrong, like always!

Good Luck!

12-05-03  Advice55: <There is no <need> for any liquidity <increase>.>

Right, at the moment no need, but if any large and bad event happens, it might be the case, that is what I am trying to say. I also realy do not see a lot of people holding cash at the moment, the liquidity that was pumped in after september 11th, is already inside risk.... This is why markets have gone up, more buyers than sellers.... Liquidity is already alocated twards risk at this point and expectations are high again....

Not a vey safe time to be increasing exposure to risk in my opinion...

But maybe I am wrong again, as always!

Let us just see how it goes!

Good Luck!

12-05-03  Amateur: Advice, <there is no space for liquidity increase again> There is no <need> for any liquidity <increase>. The stock of a trillion trillion usdls in MM is there, hanging, unused, growing slowly as Alan pumps every day. Some of the owners of those MM loose patience every day and escapes buying <anything> but there is no escape, the seller of the <anything> receives the usdls and re-enters the pool of idle money....

Two events only may turn back this tide: Inflation, or Fed tightening. Until one of those happens, no asset px collapse can be too deep or last too long. Welcome to carry-country!

12-05-03  ElGrande: <Housing market boble in USA would explode and than the last one to save his ass will be poor, if not dead> <Advice55> With these views are you long the barbaric relic? And if not, why not?

12-05-03  Advice55: Any way, maybe I am wrong, as always, and there is a lot of people willing to increase exposure to risk with all this very high expectations inside prices already....

My past experience does not allow me to believe in that very mutch, but maybe I am just wrong, as always!

Good Luck to you all, got to go!

12-05-03  Advice55: China is growing at 7%/10% for about 7 years now, The base to compare is getting larger and it looks like very soon China will be bellow expectations as well. Same thing goes for India.... Expectations are just to high, leaving realy small space for good surprises and large spaces for bad ones....

12-05-03  Jackie: <leo: Just to know:who is already into dr 2006\2013 apart from myself and Pillz?> I am into 2013 at 78. Hope to buy more.

12-05-03  Advice55: And I believe we have other reasons to be coutios we this markets at this levels. In USA the expoectations that were being kept low, are not any longer meaning surprises now will be bad and not good. Intel example yesterday is just one of a lot to come. In Brazil expectations are at there pick and PSDB and PFL will start to create problems for MULA!

12-05-03  Amateur: <Brazil stocks > What is that? a new rock group?

12-05-03  Advice55: In other words wally, it does not matter very mutch what people say, it matters how they are positioned in the market. They can say, look I know it is possible, but wile it does not happen, we surf this improving wave. Meaning they do not increase cash, they stay inside risk at very overbought levels and the reality is that if something happens, they will say, I new it would happen, but they will have no cash for bottom fishing, and if markets turn the corner the order will be sell at any price again.... Like in all past crisis with one difference, this one could be the largest and deepest crisis that we have ever seen, once that if markets turn ugly, there is no space for liquidity increase again, rates are already at 20 year lows in USA and 50 year lows in Europe and in Japan..... Housing market boble in USA would explode and than the last one to save his ass will be poor, if not dead....IMHO

12-05-03  Advice55: Wally, I believe people are forgeting just one detail, small one, to say markets would not panic. To be a bottom fisher you must sell before it melts, otherwise, with no cash, no bottom fishing for you....

If you are levaraged, worst, no bottom fishing and imediate selling, at any price....

And realy do not see a lot of people just siting in cash any more.... What a See is 90% of players long risk, lot´s of them laveraged already... For them, no bottom fishing in the case it melts...

You all, after all the crisis we went through must know exactly what a mean....

12-05-03  Advice55: <But even being very nice to hear that after all these crisis, we still saw panic selling in all of them....>

History repeats itself in different but similar ways....

12-05-03  Advice55: <Yes, that was the speach after the russian crisis, and after the asian crisis, and after the tequila crisis, now also after september 11...>

But even being very nice to hear that after all these crisis, will still saw panic selling in all of them....

Cause when things are not priced in, every one tends to try to get to the other side, at the same time. People start levaraging, and when you are leveraged and something lke this happens, you just have to sell at any price cause of margin calls, I believe a lot of colores already had that experience before....

12-05-03  Advice55: <that markets won't be affected too much even if a terrorist attack of the magnitude of sept11 would happen. most investors have learned their lessons and found out that panic selling only benefits the bottom-fishers>

Yes, that was the speach after the russian crisis, and after the asian crisis, and after the tequila crisis, now also after september 11... Let us just see if there will be realy no panic selling, but as markets are going up for about 15 months in a row, panic selling would only be defined after a first 20% drop in USA stocks, or 60% drop in Brazil stocks right?

12-05-03  Advice55: Spal I understand we are making jokes untill the day it happens again, cause when it does, no jokes only sadness and capital destruction...

12-05-03  ruspan: Wally:<: P1010070.JPG (<1.036.018 bytes>) = CRAZY!> Still not enough, you can not see the time in his watch! :-)))))

12-05-03  wally: no need to reduce pictures <ruspan>. i can do that myself. but you have to think of download time in case your usual pictures have the size of 103.75 megabytes each :~))

12-05-03  ruspan: PD do you have a proper screen this time or do you want me to reduce the pictures for a PDA size?

12-05-03  ruspan: I have, but very few as I found: you wher right about the "pocket size" of my camera, it was too big to take it for dinners so I have mostly a playa pictures. Will send today (and hope Torgay and others will send me or post somewhere the real ones :-).

12-05-03  ruspan: Waaly, I am offended: Mrs Williams sent me the same letter, but without addressing me by name... Looks like you know a lot of important people :-)))))))

12-05-03  cirun: <Fox:< I can explain it!>> Thank You Master! I am doing it that way:

1) Make watchlist of SchalStocks, Fox schtock, pillzstock 1a) Think about what bet I can follow, read news.

2) Look @ graphs to find oversold schtock.

3) Sell when Caribinho says to.

4) Never, but never second guess Schpal Wisdom or Vodoo.

Maybe I should drop 1a) and do 2) more carefully therefore.-)))

12-05-03  wally: <From: claudiawilliams2000@yahoo.com To: wfh211@aol.com

My Dear Friend Wally,

I got your contact in my search for a trustworthy foreigner that will assist me , as I don't even know whom to trust so I allowed the spirit of God to lead me.

Firstly let me introduce my self. I am Mrs. Claudia Williams, wife of one Personal Aid (P.A) to the former Liberian President Charles Taylor who now is seeking asylum in Calabar, Nigeria, West Africa. My husband was controlling part of his wealth blessed with a <<<huge deposit of funds...>>>>

<philly>: shall we advise the lady to apply for a job as number 6a?

12-05-03  wally: from infobae:

12-05-03  wally: <And if you play it vely vely schlowly backward> you might see #6 curing a tonsilitis :~))

12-05-03  wally: <Tell me, did you speak about any possible terrorist attack a major one for the short term?>

yes <advice>, in fact we did discuss this topic and it was me who was most interested to bring it up. the general consensus was that markets won't be affected too much even if a terrorist attack of the magnitude of sept11 would happen. most investors have learned their lessons and found out that panic selling only benefits the bottom-fishers (as was the case in sept 2001).

i did not fully agree with most other colores and mentioned the possibility of a terrorist attack by means of a "dirty bomb" which could paralyze a financial center like wall street not for days but for a much longer period.

12-05-03  PILLZ: <play it backwards you might find out who killed Kennedy ... >

And if you play it vely vely schlowly backward , you may even see a melting Braziiiil...

12-04-03  SPAL: << meaning they even filmed the stuff..... Dangerous times ahead! >> play it backwards you might find out who killed Kennedy ...

12-04-03  Advice55: Was watching CNN before going to sleep now and looks like Alqueada just sent another tape to USA, this time containing images of sept 11th that were never seen, the angle of the tape was never seen, meaning they even filmed the stuff.....

Dangerous times ahead!

12-04-03  amigo latino: Mejia vs IMF: who will win?

12-04-03  Advice55: Would stocks are hanging on a cliff! IMHO!

12-04-03  Advice55: Pelegreino just posted there, that private investors and pension funds increased exposure to the brazilian market in november, wile banks and foreigners reduced....

12-04-03  Advice55: Wally, so the good ne was the first one? In fiji, 8 foot plus perfect waves!

Tell me, did you speak about any possible terrorist attack a major one for the short term?

I hate to be a bad news bringer, but you know that when news were getting good, I was also the good news clamer...
