Miami, FL, March 10--"Am I underpaid?" This age old question now has an answer.
BradyNet announces the initial results of the BradyNet Emerging Markets Compensation Index ("BEMCI") questionnaire. BEMCI surveys market professionals anonymously on their compensation levels taking into consideration such factors as hours worked per week, vacations, etc. The data is analyzed based on gender, type of work, seniority, location, educational background, type of employer and so on.
This month’s BEMCI focuses on the Emerging Market Sales and Trading profession. According to the findings, the average yearly salary is $99,078 with a $235,552 bonus and $18,517 in other benefits for a total yearly compensation of $353,147.
The yearly base salary for a senior professional (President/ Head of Division/ Director/ Managing Director) is $110,714 almost twice as large as the base salary of an Associate. While the average yearly total compensation level for a senior professional is $353,147 three times an Associate ($117,450).
Further, base salaries remain pedestrian as professionals climb the corporate ladder, but bonus payments can be expected to increase dramatically. A Manager/ Portfolio Manager can expect to receive a bonus payment almost eight times as large as the one received by an Associate!
As a consequence, bonus payments represent a larger percentage of total income for a senior executive...
...than for a junior one.
Benefits are a relatively small component of the overall compensation package.
