BradyNet Adds DCR Emerging Market Debt Ratings

CHICAGO (July 18, 1996)—Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co.’s (DCR) emerging markets ratings are now available on BradyNet, an emerging markets site on the World Wide Web.

BradyNet (www.bradynet.com) provides users details of specific securities, including pricing, as well as commentary on market developments in emerging Latin American, Asian and Eastern European nations. DCR ratings on corporate, structured and sovereign financings originating in 12 countries are available, as are DCR press releases.

"Given the pace at which political and economic developments can impact emerging market issues, real-time information services such as BradyNet offer investors timely access to a broad range of fixed income data," commented Peter J. Stahl, DCR executive vice president. "Our relationship with BradyNet is part of our commitment to deliver our ratings and research via those media that best respond to the needs of the worldwide investment community," he added.

BradyNet provides some of the tools necessary to measure the attractiveness of investing in emerging market fixed income assets, according to Roberto Krell, president of BradyNet. "DCR’s ratings and methodologies have proved to be invaluable tools for the measurement of the risk involved in these investments, and therefore, they have enriched and complemented our site greatly," he said.

In addition to BradyNet, DCR also provides research on issues originating in both developed and emerging markets via its own On-Line Ratings and Bulletin Board Services, on Bloomberg, on First Call’s ReSearch Direct, and on the Insurance News Network (www.insure.com). DCR’s Web site is under construction and will be available next month.
